Goals, vision and plan
How the new dockless system fits into our mission and goals
Nice Ride's mission is to enhance quality of life by providing convenient, easy to use bike sharing and fleet programs that will provide residents and visitors a healthy, fun, different way to get around town.
The new dockless system fits very well into this mission and provides a powerful tool to greatly advance it by offering a means for dramatically increasing the number and distribution of places where bikes can be picked up or dropped off.
Combined with our commitment to increasing equitable access to bikeshare for populations and communities throughout our service area, we are excited to begin planning and implementing this new system!
Vision for the new system
Nice Ride's new designated parking zones focus envisions greatly expanded access to Nice Ride’s new bicycle fleet. While all designated parking zones will be subject to approval by both the property owner of the location where the zone will be located, as well as permitting by the City of Minneapolis, we envision these new designated parking zones at the following locations:

What's the role of the public in developing Nice Ride's new parking zones plan?
Minneapolis residents, workers and visitors have been providing (and continue to provide) ideas to help us plan this next evolution of bikeshare in the city.
We are taking all of the comments received as part of this process into consideration, and are working with project partners, sponsors and owners of the public right of way where parking zones will be located (City of Minneapolis, Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board, the University of Minnesota, etc.) to finalize recommendations and implement the plan.
We are providing regular updates through this website and through the plan's electronic newsletter (you can sign up here >).
